Memories are such awesome things. When unleashed from the confines of what was.they glorify our todays and make favorable our tomorrows. excerpt from the book OH Brother / Let not memory hold dear the quantity of your accomplishments; instead let their worth be measured by the manner in which you achieved them. Quote from Paul Ciccone, Jr.'s book “OH Brother“

Sometimes we have to let go to move on. New doors cannot be opened until others have been gently closed behind us. Not slammed, lest they bounce back ajar, but gently closed, with the trust that new things are waiting just beyond the next threshold. Healing and regeneration take place with every exit and entry.

The unexpected in life is conspicuously obvious, often it's even consider the norm, and this dirty, untidy, disorderly part of living is what validates the fact “life is messy!”

True wisdom does not mean absence from pain. The Light that we are given offers us a place to grow while the storm rages around us, a caring hand to pick us up when we are broken, and a shelter filled with love and understanding while we once again struggle to take our first steps. You see, wisdom is not something we figure out in our minds,it comes from the knowledge we gain while we learn to walk. Each time we take a new step of faith, wisdom opens her arms for us to move forward.

This is an excerpt of a journal entry from shortly after I sought psychiatric intervention, got on medication and started to get my life back on track after several emotionally shattering and life altering events. It is an indicator of how far I have come and how far I have yet to go.
I have stared wide-eyed into the black hole, the dark abyss of hopelessness, helplessness and powerlessness that makes the world a bleak and meaningless and useless place. I have held a gun to my head more than once and was too afraid to pull the trigger, too afraid of the eternal consequences of my folly, too pained by what I was leaving behind and yet saddened immeasurably that I would know it no longer. I have done my dancing with the Grim Reaper and it is my fervent prayer, my diligent hope that I will be induced to dance with him no more.

Sometimes it seems to me, if you look at hate and anger, simmering below the surface is the yearning for love. Some people cannot control these emotions and the pain they cause themselves and others. When the thread of love is woven into these emotions, they can be touched and changed. Because love changes everything it comes in contact with. Love can cause joy and love can cause pain. I have felt it both ways. Joy when it touches me, pain when it is removed and replaced with other emotions. So simple and yet so complicated.

darkness is the first stage of light and light is the end of darkness so learn to open your eyes / the physically dead are gone for good with no hope of resurrecting, but the mentally dead are the ones that can be resurrected through knowledge of ones self / one with true physical strength can not exist without the inner, for the inner strength is the one that produces the physical possibilities.

look at a birth of an individual like its a seed and with that seed comes the nourchering of the farmer. it all depends on the farmers knowledge and leadership in what helps the seed grow into its highest potential / one of the hardest things to watch is the raping of todays youth's developement. when one try's to grow up to fast never really grows up at all, for you need the lessons of today to flourish in tomorrow.

the evil in others is only infectious when rubbed into open wounds, so learn to heal them / its a sad world when it takes someone to hate something to make oneself feel self relief. we are living in an age of stones caste by the ones that should be caste upon, for the one that caste the stone is really casting upon ones own self in self hate. / a person that speaks out of hate only starves for attention, but a person that speaks out of kindness keeps the attention away from hate with no need for recognition.

As an artist there those moments when you feel like your in a vacume, alone, the world rushing by as you as you toil with with silly things. Then comes that moment. It happens when you watch the face of a young girl of 12 first sees my gift to her. “Why did you give me this?” she asked. “No one has ever given me anything” I asked her if it was true that she took care of her younger brother and sister since her mom and dad split and her mom was “gone” so much. And, was it true that she got good grades and liked school. She said it was true. “Well then” I said “I have given you this gift because you have inspired me. You give a lot to the world and expect so little in return. You deserve this gift.” She paused for second then looked up with tears in her eyes and said “I love it, I will always love it.” I was reminded that an artist's toil is rarely silly. That the world rushing by outside often seems to care so little until that moment....... Peace, Ron

When I think of perfection, I think of the simple formula that God has provided us to make life ideal. Strangely, we seem to overlook it. Opposites attract... the richness of colors exist because of both the absence of illumination and the brilliance of light. Warmth is obtained by combining both hot and cold. The union of man and woman creates life. We've failed the Divine Creator. The answer to the worlds problems takes more than a heavy dose of testosterone, more than separatism, and more than war. The answer requires the best of everything and the acceptance of all.
