Gratitude is a grateful attitude. Grateful + Attitude = Gratitude! Being grateful for what we have helps create space for more abundance of any type to come to us, because we are focusing on the positive, and what we focus on expands in our experience. I am grateful to god because without him i would be nothing. I am grateful for my loving husband, our animals, our health,jobs,my family,a cozy warm home, plenty of food to eat, clean drinking water, and a bed to sleep in. ...finding this beautiful website on a day that I was searching for spiritual community, something I could actually relate to; not too nebulous, yet not overly "stoic" or erudite in nature. all this on a day when the world was beset by earthquakes (Chile 8.8), psunamis, a viewing of a departed loved one, and deep questioning as to whether or not I would ever get around to the publishing (especially of poetry) that I feel so destined to do in the service of humanity. I'm a 43 year young mom from Norway. I have three teenagers - a girl at 15, and two boys at 16 and 18. I divorced my husbond for 16 years - three years ago, and what a life i've got now!
For so many years i kept so much a secret inside my heart. All my creativity and potentional was locked up in my inner prison. Afraid to tell the world what was really going on in my life. Since i left in november 2006 after i was diagnosed with cancer in my throat, i have the best life ever!
Yes, my life's been a struggle many times but i've always had a light heart, a good portion of humor and laughter. It has really helped.
I'm now coming out to the world and showing the authentic me. It's so important to all of us. Who are you really? Do you spend time with what your soul tells you is your path, your life purpose.Through your intuition!
After these lifechanges gratitude comes to me as a natural respons to what i now experience. Now i have a life. I'm alive for the first time in my life! As i come to understand today, i needed to experience what i've been through to be able to find the didden diamond inside of me. Wipe the dust off and shine my own divine light! I'm so grateful to everyone who has crossed my path.I've learned so much from you. I'm filled with so much peace and joy every day. Whenever i have the opportunity - during the day -i let the unconditional love i have on the inside show off and embrace other human beeings that i feel could benefit from my passion for life itself. And that - again -fills me with even more to be grateful for. And this goes on and on...isn't life beautiful?
I would like to share a poem with you that i wrote years before i manage to to finally have the guts to change my life. And it has inspired me a lot...

Gods work of creation appears to me - gracefully and i realize how fortunate i am, unfolding the creator within me, blessed with three children whom i adore what more can i possibly ask for i've got it all.

I am grateful for God's almighty protection and love. Just when I thought I had lost it all, God stepped in a performed an amazing miracle on our farm. Texas storms felled a huge Oak tree across our barn a few weeks ago with our 4 horses inside. The barn was crushed and it didn't look like horses could survive such an ordeal without life threatening injuries. My vet was called to put the horses down once we reached them....... God had other plans for us that evening. Two horses were already out without ANY injuries and the two that were trapped were cut out by the Fire Dept. and received minor surface scratches. They walked out with 4 sound legs, healthy and sound backs in a relatively calm and confident manner. It was truly a miracle and I can only give God the glory for this amazing miracle we experienced. God is so good!!

I am grateful for finding out I have some gifts. to offer the world, and for myself, grateful for my poetry, drawings, water colour paintings, which I found out I could do during a traumatic time in my life, as it kept me from going under at the time, doing them, it kept me sane,and positive, which I'm grateful for, grateful for someone smiling at me, as they pass, especially when you really need it, a friendly gesture, and grateful for nice hello, as you meet another person, grateful also for my voice, so I can talk, communicate with, others, grateful for going out with the family for lovely pizza, at the pizza hut, yummy! my fave food! and grateful for ice cream, and choccie! and grateful for having my fluffy cuddly toys, grateful for a friendly ear when I need one, grateful I've made it up with my brother after not being in contact for ages, having his family also to enrich my life, just grateful for the sun, moon, stars, the rain, snow, frost, fog, etc.. grateful for the good decent people, as rare nowadays, the list is endless when you start? it can go on into infinnity to me? grateful I have my hubby to cuddle up to in bed also, even though he snores, sucks the curtains in and out! just knowing he's still there, for comfort, and love, when I'm not feeling oo well too, as he'll bring me a hot water bottle to bed, and nice cuppa tea, I'm grateful for my garden too. as it is very therapeutic for me, the plants, birds, insects, sounds of water feature etc... and grateful for being able to bend and do it really, in the lovely fresh air! grateful for a rainbow it's beauty after a rain shower, also for the moon on a dark night, to see better, and just looking at it just grateful for living breathing existing, to experience it all

He fell to the ground and could not get up. 3 people got out of their cars to help him get up and walk across the street. The sight brought tears to my eyes as I watched people helping this man to get up. Sometimes I complain about losing weight and when I think about that I think about how I can effortlessly walk while another person has difficulty just walking across the street. The beauty in this is that people helped him and I am grateful to not only have a able body but to see the beauty in others and how they can be compassionate towards another human being.
